A simple locked door restricting free access to a property is usually enough to put most opportunists thieves off. Locking doors during normal business hours is very annoying particularly when there are lots of staff and visitors coming and going, CSS can help by installing a restricted access system by used of a coded lock where a pin number is used to release the lock.
Another option to consider is a proximity reader that will release the lock when the person wearing the prox token approaches the door. Or a higher security remit that requires both pin number and prox token to be used before the door will release.
There are various simple and more sophisticated types of controlled access systems available that can control when and how long a person can enter a specific area as well as total restrictions to certain areas.
