CSS donates to Strathcarron Hospice Sponsored Camino Cycle
We made an update to links in this story on 18th July 2025 as Strathcarron Hopice’s website links have changed. You can still read Kevin and Linda’s story on the website.
At CSS, we believe in supporting our community in times of need, which is why we’re proud to support Kevin and Linda Clarke’s upcoming cycling journey to fundraise for Strathcarron Hospice.

The hospice provided invaluable support to their dear friend Pat Norman during her final days of a terminal illness. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospice offered wonderful care to Pat and her family.
In memory of Pat’s steadfast support and enthusiasm, Kevin and Linda are embarking on a long-distance cycle pilgrimage along the Camino del Norte and Camino Primitivo routes. This demanding journey symbolises their commitment to raising funds for Strathcarron Hospice and honouring their beloved friend’s legacy.
The Clarkes’ efforts were delayed by COVID-19 and personal health challenges, but they are now ready to embark on this inspiring journey. As they cycle through the picturesque landscapes of Spain, they hope to raise awareness and funds to support the essential work of Strathcarron Hospice.
Join us in supporting Kevin and Linda as they pedal for a purpose and honour the memory of Pat Norman. Together, we can make a difference and support those in need during their most challenging times. Where there’s a will, there’s always a way!
Donate the hospice to support their work.
Update on the CSS Donation, 5th July 2024
We recently received a letter of thanks from the hospice as they have now processed our donation. Thank you to everyone who donated to support this wonderful charity.

Dear Mr Connolly,
On behalf of everyone at Strathcarron Hospice, I am writing to thank you for this very generous donation of £306.00 towards Kevin and Linda’s cycle challenge.
This fantastic donation is enough to cover the cost of 12 and a half hours of specialist nursing care for a terminally ill patient here at Strathcarron and will help us to continue to provide care and support to local people facing a terminal illness.
Strathcarron Hospice is privileged to provide specialist care, love and support completely free of charge for patients and their families. To enable us to do this we rely on charitable giving from supporters to cover the daily costs of £14,632.
Thank you for your support of Strathcarron Hospice.
Yours sincerely,
Jackie Johnston
Fundraising Manager
