Escape signage
Escape signs have their own set of requirements detailed in BS 5266-1 2016. These cover the output of light provided by escape signs, how the signs are illuminated for clear visibility, and the optimum positioning of signs within premises. The positioning of escape signage varies depending on the type of premises and their internal layout and escape routes.
The required criteria that must be met will be detailed in the fire risk assessment carried out for your premises.
