CSS Supporting Sense Scotland
Help secure the future of TouchBase Dunbartonshire
Together, we can make a difference
CSS Ltd is proud to support Sense Scotland and its work at TouchBase Dunbartonshire.
TouchBase Dunbartonshire is much more than a building. It is a place where people with complex and sensory disabilities can develop skills, take part in activities, build friendships and enjoy greater independence.
Around 50 adults and young people use TouchBase Dunbartonshire every week, alongside the families and staff who depend on this important local service.
CSS wants to help Sense Scotland protect this vital service for the future.
Our Place, Our Future
Sense Scotland’s campaign, Our Place, Our Future, has been created to help secure TouchBase Dunbartonshire’s home for generations to come.
Sense Scotland currently rents TouchBase Dunbartonshire. Its longer-term aim is to secure the building and invest in improvements including the heating system and essential infrastructure.
This is part of a two-year programme designed to give TouchBase Dunbartonshire greater security and ensure the service can continue supporting local people and families well into the future.
Why TouchBase Dunbartonshire Matters
TouchBase Dunbartonshire is based in Bishopbriggs and supports people with communication needs associated with complex and sensory disabilities.
For the people who attend, it provides opportunities to:
- develop new skills;
- socialise and build friendships;
- take part in creative activities;
- become more independent;
- enjoy activities and experiences;
- feel part of their local community.
Sense Scotland describes TouchBase Dunbartonshire as providing stability for families, dignity for individuals and hope for people who rely on its support every day.
Moving the service elsewhere could also cause considerable disruption and stress for the people supported by Sense Scotland, their families and staff.
