Constructed and operated to a very high standard (BS 5979), the CSS Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in Glasgow allows us to offer an unmatchable service to our business customers in Scotland.
The ARC is NSI ARC Gold Approved BS EN ISO 9001:2008, NSI SSQS 102 BS5979:2007, & BS7858:2012 and covers aspects such as the security of the building or business premises, hours of operation and security of data.

Who owns and operates the ARC?
CSS fully owns and operates the ARC. The centre manager is John McDaid.
Who benefits from the ARC?
CSS use the ARC for the benefit of our own customers. Third party installers also ask CSS to monitor their customers’ premises.
What is the ARC used for?
To monitor intruder alarms, fire alarms and CCTV through our Bold Gemini Alarm Monitoring Software. We also monitor CCTV through Immix CCTV monitoring software.
How does the ARC work?
When an alarm signal is received on our Bold Gemini Alarm Software, we contact the premises key holders or relevant authorities depending on the instructions linked to the site or alarm type.
We monitor alarms through CSL Dualcom, BT Redcare and Digital Communicator signalling devices and monitor CCTV with Dedicated Micros, Adpro and Avigilon devices.
When is the ARC available?
Our control room is manned 24 hours a day – 7 days a week, with a minimum of 2 people. The control-room has a generator backup system which enables us to operate up to 48 hours during a power outage.
What is the ARC's area of coverage?
We cover Scotland for systems with Police/Fire response and UK wide for key-holder only response.
