Braving the Cold for Charity

Following successful events in 2015 and 2016, the Celtic FC Foundation, held their 3rd Sleep Out event in November 2018 to help tackle poverty in Glasgow.

Among the 100 plus participants, who slept under the stars overnight in our famous Scottish weather (freezing!) were two CSS employees, mother and daughter, Pauline and Kelsey Comerford. With the help of friends, family and their fellow employees they managed to raise over £500, which was donated to the 2018 Christmas Appeal which aims to help local families and pensioners who face poverty and hardship, and a number of charities who care for those experiencing homelessness and other disadvantages. In total the event raised an amazing total in the region of £25,000.

One of the Connelly Clan, Declan Connelly, also participated in another Sleep Out event at Kelvingrove Park in December 2018. Declan also managed to raise an amazing amount of donations to help those in need.

We are extremely proud of our staff for giving back to those who are less fortunate and we’re delighted to support them.
