CSS continue to support local food bank at Christmas

As a business, an integral part of the CSS ethos has always been to help others in any way we can. As such we will be contributing again this year to the Carntyne and Riddrie Credit Union this Christmas.

Last Christmas, CSS gathered a high number of donated items brought in by our staff for the Carntyne and Riddrie Credit Union. They are an amazing organisation, who work all year round to make sure that those with very little can feed themselves and their families. They also collect clothing items, children’s toys and new mum/baby items for those who are unable to afford their own. This year, not only will we be helping the union again during their busiest period, we will be expanding our reach by donating to other local food banks throughout the East and West of Scotland.

This Christmas, we are asking you to help us help others by contributing to our 2019 CSS Food Bank Collection Initiative. We would be extremely grateful if you could donate any non-perishable food items to our collection (or anything else you have that could benefit those less fortunate e.g. clothes, mum/baby items, children’s toys etc.) Our engineers will be happy to take these items from you and distribute them to the centres we will be working with this Christmas.

PLEASE NOTE: CSS Engineers can only collect your donations if they are scheduled to attend to carry out a maintenance visit at your property. If you wish, you can drop your donation into the CSS offices or you can go directly to your local foodbank.

As little as one can of food can make a huge difference to the lives of those less fortunate this Christmas – please help in any way you can!

In the New Year, we will be delighted to inform you of how we got on as well as passing on the thanks of the organisers of the food bank centres, who will be overwhelmed with your generosity.

Examples of non-perishable food items:

Cereal, soup, pasta, rice, tinned vegetables/meat/fruit, sauces, lentils, beans, tea, coffee, biscuits, crisps, crackers, nuts, UHT milk, fruit juice etc.
