CSS supports Simpson’s Memory Box Appeal
An integral part of the CSS ethos is giving back to the community, therefore we continuously support a wide range of charities.
Simpson’s Memory Box Appeal
The most recent charity that CSS have been involved with is SiMBA – Simpson’s Memory Box Appeal. SiMBA are a Scottish Registered Charity set up to support those who lose their baby during pregnancy or very close to birth.
Operating since 2007, SiMBA offer a wide range of services to support families affected by this horrible loss.
Memory boxes are donated to families, allowing them to collect and treasure items that will forever remind and connect them to their baby. The charity also refurbish hospital rooms, allowing families to spend time with their baby in a tranquil environment.
SiMBA work alongside CHAS – Children’s Hospice Association Scotland who provide hospice services to children and young people – to help train and educate midwives and wider hospital staff in bereavement, ensuring that everyone has the correct tools and knowledge to help families through and beyond this tough time.
Support groups are held for families each month and online support is available 24/7.
Razzle Dazzle Charity Lunch
CSS will be attending the Razzle Dazzle Charity Lunch to support SiMBA in raising funds to enable the charity to increase awareness of their cause and continue to support those affected by the loss of a baby. The event will take place at The Eagle Lodge, Bishopbriggs.
