Paul completes the Virtual Kiltwalk 2021
After doing his bit to raise money for charity on the Virtual Kiltwalk 2021, Paul Connelly, Managing Director of Connelly Group Holdings shares his thoughts on his experience and a message of thanks to those who donated.
You can watch the video below but here’s what he had to say:
Well, I’ve made it, back in the office in one piece after our charity fundraiser that was held on 23rd April where myself and my friend Big Andy Wright cycled 30 miles from Stirling to Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond.

It was a hot day and the road was very busy as everybody decided to go to Loch Lomond but we got there in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s always good getting to the finish line although at times you think to yourself “am I doing the right thing here?” but for the charity of our choice we’re raising money for which is the Notre Dame Centre we set ourselves the ambitious task of raising £20,000 and we’re doing very well in getting to that target.
We’re not there yet. I didn’t realise how hard it was to raise funds as much as that but for all of those who have supported me in getting some money raised, I very much appreciate it. We’ve had great support from family, friends, business colleagues, suppliers and people who know the people here at CSS. Thanks very much for all your kind gestures in donating to our JustGiving page.
By the time we get all the pledges in and the cheques that people say they’re going to stick me in for £10 or a fiver we’re getting there and we’ll be able to get the money to the Notre Dame Centre which is a fantastic charity based here in Glasgow.
So thanks again, we made it and I got my medal through the post today from Sit Tom and all the people at the Kiltwalk. I really appreciate your support. Thanks.
