The Sense Scotland Ladies’ Lunch on Saturday 15th June 2024 in Glasgow was a massive success and CSS were honoured to be part of it.

Everyone’s spirits were high as guests enjoyed an afternoon filled with food, fun, fundraising and of course… the fizz! Some of the CSS team were delighted to be among the many generous guests who raised an incredible – drum roll please – £30,500 to support the incredible work of Sense Scotland, helping disabled people and their families across the country.

The event was hosted by the hilarious Michelle McManus, who kept us all laughing and singing along to some of our favourite songs. Michelle also performed a wonderful Patsy Cline classic dedicated to one of the amazing people supported by Sense Scotland.

We were treated to the fantastic party antics of tribute band Re-Take That, who invited Sense Scotland’s biggest Take That fan Karen Leonard to join them on stage. It really was a night we’ll ‘Never Forget’!

Sense Scotland welcomed special guest Philippa Clark, who shared the touching story of her son Isaac and the impact Sense Scotland has had on their lives; Support Worker Ian Major also shared his experiences and friendship with Isaac. These stories emphasise how much Sense Scotland do to support people with complex needs and how vital our donations are to help keep their vital work going.

As always we were awed by the work of the dedicated volunteers who made sure the day ran smoothly for everyone – especially we lucky guests. We’re excited to share some photos with you as well as the professional photos from the day, captured by the very talented Ken Clark.
