Supporting Carntyne and Riddrie Credit Union Food Bank
For Christmas 2018, CSS donated their annual food bank collection to Carntyne and Riddrie Credit Union.
The Credit Union run a non-means-tested food bank all year round (not just at Christmas!) to make sure that those with very little are able to feed themselves and their families. They also collect items for the homeless, clothes, children’s toys and new born baby items for those who are unable to afford their own. Classes are also run for pensioners and various other programs to support the community.
Brian Gordon and Kelsey Comerford, both Sales Surveyors at CSS, were amazed to see the volume of donations the Credit Union had received in the week leading up to Christmas. “The amount of support they have received is fantastic. They will change lives not only this Christmas but all year round,” said Kelsey.
CSS are so impressed with the amazing work that the Credit Union do for those less fortunate in Glasgow and will continue to support them throughout the year.
