Upcoming charity work, CSS updates and environmental actions
Charity work March 2023
As a family business we endeavour to help good causes when we can and have been touched by the support our valued customers give back too by supporting good causes.
For the recent Ukrainian power generator appeal that CSS sponsored, with the help of our friends, family, staff, suppliers and customers we have managed to fund over £33,000 of aid to the people of Ukraine.
This month we are supporting two charity fundraisers, these are ladies’ lunches in support of Scottish Women’s Aid and Sense Scotland.

The Women’s Aid lunch is being held in the Eagle Lodge in Bishopbriggs on Saturday 18th March 2023 and the Sense Scotland charity fundraiser event is being held in Glasgow’s Central Hotel on Saturday 25th March 2023.
These events will be a great opportunity for women from all over to meet up with friends, family and work colleagues in a social environment whilst raising money toward the charities.
CSS operating at full capacity
On a business front all our branches are now 100% fully back up and running to pre-COVID capacity and all service and support as well as installation of security and fire systems are back to normal. All our people are back at work on the road or in our offices and can support local shops, coffee takeaways, etc. to enable them to also get back to normal to support our local economies.
Helping the environment
Finally, to further reduce our ‘carbon footprint’ our field-based electricians (security and fire engineers will come on later) are being supplied with mobile devices to receive payment for services. This means customers will receive email confirmation of payments for charged works as opposed to posted paper ones.
As a business we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment. We have engaged with government and local councils on our journey and we hope this is starting to have real traction for our business’s carbon and waste reduction journey.
Thank you for your continued support and for more information on what we are up to please look out for our next newsletter in the Spring where we will be launching the CSS forest ‘planting trees initiative’.
