Cartmore Building Supplies were looking to investigate cost and practicality of installing a reliable and efficient security tagging systems to the 3 doorway entry/exit points of the showroom. The aim was to protect from any loss of openly displayed clothing, boots, tools, paints, nails and other accessory items. It was also important to find a suitable service and maintenance package that controlled any future cost forecasts.
There were no current tagging systems or cabling in place with new spurs. We were also required to run cabling across the building to each doorway, which all measure up to a maximum 1.8m width. There is a substantial range of packaging types to protect in different sizes and current stock displays have merchandise positioned close to two doorways. Customer access to the showroom is from 7.00am which impacts on doorways being clear.
CSS recommended, and were instructed, to install each doorway with an Ultra 1.8m ABS Pedestal System Affordable anti-theft protection in a modern, durable design. The new Ultra 1.8 ABS self-contained AM EAS system offers retailers an affordable and reliable anti-theft solution. The pedestal’s sleek open frame blends seamlessly into any retail setting while providing a visual deterrent against theft and delivering superior pick rates in all environments. Installation was completed by our SELECT approved electricians with spur runs accessed along the suspended ceiling and down through doorframes for a clean finish. Positions for sales desk equipment was also pre-agreed.
All open merchandise is protected by a wide range of hard tags, hard tag lanyards and soft labels to suit packaging types. Each sales desk is fitted with a slim de-activator and magnetic hard tag detachers to allow speedy sales processes whilst minimising the space taken on the counter. Using dual pedestals also allows settings for tagging alarms behind the systems to be reduced and allow stock to be displayed.
