CSS aquire Mossie & Kirkland Fire & Security Ltd

CSS are pleased to announce a further security system company acquisition. CSS have acquired Ayrshire based Mossie & Kirkland Fire & Security Ltd based in Ayr. This strategic move follows close on the heels of CSS taking on the customer base of Saltcoats based Prowatch in March 2011. This further expansion into Ayrshire enhances CSS commitment to the area and secures the future of Mossie & Kirkland staff and field based engineering support personnel. Mossie & Kirkland’s previous owners Brian Mossie & John Kirkland established the business in 1993 are staying on to develop and extend CSS reach to the customer base offering other services to the extensive customer base of all three businesses in a local capacity from the Ayr premises.

Mossie & Kirkland did not have a succession plan in place to look after the customers long-term when they retired. A natural fit was to become part of CSS. Both Mossie & Kirkland have known CSS owners Pat & Paul Connelly for over thirty five years and were existing customers of CSS alarm receiving centre. The companies were used to working together in providing quality services to a large client base already so the business fit was easy to manage. There will be little change in terms of effect on customers as all services with the exception of administration will be supported by the existing local team. Mossie & Kirkland will be re-branded over time to CSS in line with previous business purchases that are uniform for marketing purposes.

Paul Connelly said he is very happy Mossie & Kirkland chose CSS to look after the customer base long term so that whenever they (Brian & John) decide to retire they know the customer base is in good hands and supported by a well established Scottish based family owned company that share their values and commitment to good customer service.
