Requirements

Lookers Plc refurbished their Audi dealership and storage compound at Hamilton in Scotland. Their requirements were for a remotely monitored CCTV and intruder alarm system to BS8418 installed and signalling to a BS5979 Category II monitoring station.

The system is required to provide automatic surveillance, detection and off site transmission of external aspects and some internal aspects of the premises of the site on a 24 hour, 7 day basis using natural and artificial light.

Obstacles

Building site which required liaison with main contractor and sub-contractors to ensure all security systems were first fixed and commissioned to meet client’s expectations and deadlines.

Solution

CSS appointed a project manager to oversee all aspects of delivery of equipment, meeting project dead lines and handover of systems to client.

A recent incident, where a vehicle was stolen from a neighbouring dealership, was captured on our system. CSS control room monitored the theft, contacted the police and a member of our staff. These swift actions led to the speedy recovery of the vehicle and CCTV evidence was provided to the police.

CSS have also been very quick to attend system faults, ensuring down time is kept to a minimum.
