200 SVS Ltd refurbished the category A listed building at 200 St Vincent street in Glasgow city centre. They were setting up a multi-purpose building that would become state-of-the-art, multi-occupancy offices, function suites, restaurant and spa. To secure the site they approached CSS to design and install a security system fit for purpose.

Obstacles

Designing the system which had to deal with the multi-purpose aspect of the building where members of the public would be in areas and where private businesses require a certain level of security. CSS required liason with the main contractor and sub-contractors for the building site to ensure all security systems were first fixed and commissioned to meet the client’s expectations and deadlines. Commissioning the system to meet the need of this multi-use site.

Solution

CSS provided design and installation of the following systems: multi-level access control system utilizing biometric technology to over 30 doors and automatic glass turnstiles within the reception area; high definition IP CCTV system consisting of over 40 cameras feeding back to a central server within the communications room; site-wide intruder alarm; site-wide fire alarm system.
