CSS Acquire IDES (Intruder Detection & Electrical Services)
Superdog’s been busy! We are delighted to announce the acquisition of our business associate’s company IDES (Intruder Detection & Electrical Services) into our group.
Alan Duffy and Neil McCarry have put into place a succession plan to ensure continuity of employment for their people and the on-going support of the extensive client base. IDES are a successful electronic fire and security NSI gold approved business established over 38 years ago.
Alan and Neil have been friends since they were 14 years old and are a dynamic duo. Like Victor and Jack, they are still very much still game. I’ve known them for many years. Although after 38 years working together they will still be involved with the business in the years ahead albeit working less hours to pursue recreational activities (they have earned this).
CSS and IDES have similar cultures. We anticipate an easy integration and expansion of the combined businesses offer to the market. IDES are a leading provider of smart home technology, Including audio visual and quirky added value features this technology brings. The smart home offer will be extended across the wider businesses in our group the “ Internet Of Things” sector is an area we needed to grasp in the years ahead to ensure we are in this marketplace too as it is the future.
This latest growth increases opportunities to expand our services further into Edinburgh and the Lothians. We now have a combined field base of some 80 customer support engineers and electricians looking after 35,000 systems across Scotland from our six locations. It continues to be exciting times for everyone within our family business. We are looking forward to working with everyone at IDES in the years ahead.
