BSIA Chairman’s Award 2023 win for CEO Paul Connelly
The British Security Awards is the national event that recognises the talent and commitment of our industry’s finest leaders and contributors.
Recently, Connelly Security Systems CEO Paul Connelly was invited down to London to receive the award for 2023. It’s a huge honour to be recognised for all the hard work he’s put in over the years since CSS was formed in 1986 to become Scotland’s leading independent security company.

Paul was accompanied by his sons Callum and Declan who have joined the family business as Managers of Grahame Robertson Electrical and Security and AFA Fire and Security, two of the companies under the Connelly Group Holdings umbrella of companies.
Letter from British Security Awards
The British Security Awards closed with a special Chairman’s Award for both the electronic and physical security sectors, personally chosen and presented by Chairman of the BSIA, Simon Banks.
At the British Security Awards, it is always the tradition to close with the Chairman’s Award to recognise an outstanding individual who has made a fantastic and life-long commitment to the industry.
Choosing a winner most years is always a difficult task for anyone, especially in such a vast industry as ours, so from 2023 I will be awarding not one but two winners, representing the electronic and physical security sectors. Both winners are fully deserving of their awards.
Simon Banks, Chairman, British Security Industry Association
