The Scottish fire regulations compliance deadline is getting closer
The deadline date has been moved forward by the Scottish Government from 1 Feb 2021 to 1 Feb 2022.
DON’T BE COMPLACENT and arrange a survey of your home in plenty of time not only to meet the deadline but to improve the safety of your home, possessions and family.
Changes to Scottish fire safety regulations require all property owners to install compliant smoke, heat and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in their homes, businesses and public access buildings by Feb 2022.
The NEW REGULATIONS affect the following:
- Landlords
- Property Management Companies
- Housing Associations
- Hotels
- Guest Houses
- Homeowners
Your Responsibility
All homes in Scotland must meet the new regulations by 1 February 2022.
If a property is not up to standard, your local authority could use its statutory powers to make you carry out any work required.
