Update in response to Covid-19 and some good news

Following a five month reduced service, our businesses are pretty much back to normal with the majority of our people now back at work. I’m pleased to say that we were able to continuously provide genuine 24hr support to our customers throughout the Covid-19 crisis.

To date, none of our people have been diagnosed as being affected by the virus and for that we are thankful. We continue to adopt a policy of safety first, not only in our work places but also out in the field of our operational activities. We are now in a position to enable the routine inspection and tests of security and fire systems to resume full time.

Over the coming months we will be working hard to catch up with the backlog to ensure all of our maintained systems are in good working order before winter comes.

Birthday wishes and new apprentices

On a lighter note, congratulations to some long serving employees that celebrated big birthdays. John McDaid our alarm receiving centre manager has well over 25 years service and celebrated his 60th birthday. Andy Rosie who is off work at the moment celebrated his 60th too and Gareth Stewart turned the big 40. Last and by no means least, Margaret Hazlett celebrates 25 years service with our family business and is due to come back to work very soon.

A very warm welcome to our 2020 intake of new trainees joining our apprenticeship scheme. The last of my sons Lewis is joining the family business just like his elder siblings Callum (12 years service) and Declan ( 9years service) and will be undertaking an electrician apprenticeship through our Graham Robertson Electrical business based in Stirling.

More good news

Look out next time for the impending news celebrating the arrival of a new baby for Ashley and Andrew from the Graham Robertson businesses. Jason Mcleod has come through his surgery well and we look forward to seeing him back at work soon.

Paul Connelly MD CSSOn the work front we have been awarded various contracts across the businesses and we are optimistic about the future. It’s been hard for all and may I take this opportunity of thanking all of those that were there shoulder to the wheel over these difficult and challenging times in keeping to our mantra and that is we are “committed to keeping Scotland safe”. As we approach our 35 years successful trading that’s a result of good staff at the front line and great customers that value trust and integrity from their chosen security company.

Best regards

Paul Connelly
